Please note that the expected review time of your application is up to four weeks. If you are not a Danish citizen and/or if you live outside the EU, the processing time may be longer.

Apply for a guest hunting licence

When we have processed your application, you have to pay the hunting licence fee, and the Danish police has to give consent for the Danish Environmental Protection Agency to issue the hunting license. When you pay for the Danish guest hunting licence, you also give the Danish Police permission to investigate whether consent can be given for issuing a Danish guest hunting licence. If you have had a guest hunting licence in the previous hunting season, you must also report your game bag.

The game bag has to be reported before paying for a new Danish guest hunting licence. If you did not have a Danish guest hunting license in the previous hunting season, please proceed directly to payment.

Report game bag and pay for the guest hunting licence

When the Danish Environmental Protection Agency has processed your application, you will receive an email with two personal links. One is for reporting your game bag for the previous hunting season, and the other is for payment of the new guest hunting license fee. If you did not have a guest hunting licence in the previous hunting season you only need to use the link for payment.

Please note

  • All hunters including visiting hunters are obliged to report game bag for the previous hunting season
  • You can’t undo the payment of the hunting licence fee once it has been completed
  • If you live in Denmark you can’t apply for a guest hunting licence

It is important that you save this email electronically, as it is not possible for the Danish Environmental Protection Agency to resend it.
