Survey of 2,3-epoxypropylneodecanoate

Environmental project No. 1713, 2015

Part of the LOUS-review

This survey is part of the Danish EPA’s review of the substances on the List of Undesirable Substances (LOUS). The survey concerns the substance Survey of 2,3-epoxypropyl-neodecanoate (EPDA). This substance was included in the LOUS list in 2009 due to the self-classification as Carc3;R40 R43 N;R51/53 (Carc 2; H351; H317; H411) and because EPDA is placed on the Danish market in a quantity above 100 tonnes. The report defines the substance and present information on the use and occurrence of EDPA internationally and in Denmark, information on existing regulation, on environmental and health effects, on monitoring and exposure, on waste management and on alternatives to the substance.
