Part of the LOUS-review
This survey concerns naphthalene (CAS 91-20-3) . This substance was neither included in the first list in 1998 nor the second list in 2000, but was included in the third list in 2004 and has remained on the list since that time (i.e. also included in the fourth list in 2009). The main reason for its inclusion in LOUS is due to its harmonised classification as suspected of causing cancer. This report includes surveys on the substance, including information on, uses and exposure internationally and in Denmark, legislation, environment and health properties and alternatives on the basis of available information.
Denne kortlægning er et led i Miljøstyrelsens kortlægninger af stofferne på Listen Over Uønskede Stoffer (LOUS). Kortlægningen omhandler naftalen. ). Rapporten indeholder blandt andet en beskrivelse af brugen og forekomsten af naftalen internationalt og i Danmark, regulering, beskrivelse af miljø- og sundhedseffekter og viden om alternativer.
