22-06-2010To improve the help to companies to self-classify chemicals, the Environmental Protection Agency has prepared the third version of the advisory list for self-classification of dangerous substances, where (Q) SAR models have been used to predict a number of hazardous endpoints upon which advisory self-classifications were assigned. In comparison with the previous version of the advisory list, the following effects has been updated and added respectively: Acute oral toxicity and Skin irritation. From the previous list the following effects are included: Mutagenicity, carcinogenicity, reproductive toxicity, acute oral toxicity, skin sensitisation and danger to the aquatic environment. The amended list now includes advisory classifications for 34,292 substances.
